Frequently asked questions

What is Paintless Dent Removal (PDR)?
PDR is a highly skilled process which removes dents and dings from vehicle bodywork without the costly and time consuming need for traditional bodyshop repairs. The dent is accessed from the back of the damaged area and gently 'massaged' back out using specially designed tools.

What size of dent can be repaired by PDR?
PDR is suitable for most non collision dents and dings up to about the size of a tennis ball, providing the paint has not been broken, the type of dent which your car picks up in car parks, though larger dents can often be significantly improved. Sharp dents, or dents where the paint is damaged are not suitable for PDR. Accident damage dents are NOT suitable for PDR.

How long does the process take?
The PDR process usually takes anywhere from 15 minutes to about one hour.

Can the dents come back?
No, all repairs are permanent. The only way a dent will appear on your car is if a new dent occurs.

How much does it cost?
Price depends on size & severity of the dent, location on vehicle and travel time involved. However, dents can be repaired from as little as £45.

How do I know your any good?
Have a look at the Gallery section. These are all dents which have been repaired by Auto Body Care. We don't show pictures of other peoples work! We were trained in these techniques in the USA in 1996 and have been fixing dents ever since.
